The Royal Drive Off

I’ll admit I didn’t watch any of today’s coverage of the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. I did however, appreciate that amid all the pomp and circumstance someone had the brilliant idea to have a proper sending-off in a classy vintage sports car adorned with balloons and a custom “JU5T WED” plate.  No tin cans here though.

The car, an Aston Martin DB6 Volante, was on loan from Prince Williams’ father, Prince Charles.  It was originally bought as a 21st birthday gift for Charles from his mother, the Queen.  That’s always nice.  Some years back, Prince Charles converted the car to run on bioethanol fuel as a small but significant gesture to the importance of reducing carbon emissions.  Apparently, it runs on distilled surplus wine from a British vineyard which actually says more about the quality of the wine really.

So I ask, which car would you choose to drive off in with your prince/princess?  Post your response in the comment box below.
